Takeryo Kawaguchi Bowl Matcha Yohen Ash Glaze
Takeryo Kawaguchi Bowl Matcha Yohen Ash Glaze
Description
Takeryo Kawaguchi makes pottery in famous ceramic town called Arita where traditionally Bone China wares were produced. He uses clay from near by land, and uses wheel-thrown technique as well as forming by hand without wheel. For kiln, he utilize both gas and kerosene kilns to intentionally differentiate resulting pieces. His studio is one of the coolest studios I have ever visited.
